I tried Yoomee, and it's fake! An absolute scam! The profiles are fake, and it's likely the users you're talking to are getting paid. Within 10 minutes of making my profile, I was already being messaged by 3 people who said I was handsome, which is a big lie But to talk to someone you have to pay per message in form of in-app currency called "hearts". Despite this, the people you talk to have no interest in switching to a free chatting app. Despite the app claiming the person lives close to you, they aren't. In the profile pictures you will see hints they're taken in the US, such as American style electrical outlets or the doors having round American style door knobs, or a vehicle that wasn't sold in your country. If you're in Europe, and the profile picture shows the person in an American looking home, or in front of a large American vehicle like a Ford F150 or Chevrolet Silverado, it's obvious that person doesn't live close to you. Another thing I noticed is that most pictures generally looks like they're taken somewhere in the mid/late 2000s. Especially in photos taken in the mirror, you'll see a point-and-shoot camera or an old phone like an iPhone 3G. This suggests to me that the profile pictures were stolen from MySpace users sometime in 2007 or 2008. So unless you have a time machine on hand to take you back to 2007, you'll never meet anyone from that site. Not worth your money or time.
