Report for Swing.net review

The dating platform Swing.net advertises with a reasonable offer. But already the landing page shows a hint that this website might be a scam. It uses a so-called ice breaker system, which is nothing else than automated messages.

That leads us to the suspicion that this portal is a fake chat. We did some research on the internet and found a few reports about the site and its operator. Former customers complain about a fake conversation and a subscription trap. The costs here originate via a paid membership, but the subscription for it will extend automatically. Membership seems to be not worth a dime, as the member’s pool is full of fake profiles. The Cargo Media AG operates this site.

Details on the Swing.net review

The landing page of Swing.net looks legit on the first view. This dating portal offers free registration and seems to have many members. On the landing page, it is mentioned that this portal uses a so-called ice breaker system. An ice breaker system means that this website will send automated messages from one profile to another. As far as we know, this is the first hint for a fake chat. The terms and conditions on the website do not mention anything about fake chats or fake profiles. The operator of the website claims not to use fake profiles.

But it mentioned as well that Swing.net is for entertainment only. The ice breaker system and the purpose of entertainment speak very strong that this website is a fake chat. We did some research on the internet and found a few negative reviews about the operator of Swing.net.

Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 29/08/2023)

www.swing.nets primary goal is to provide an adult entertainment experience. The Service enables Users to connect, exchange pictures, stories, fantasies and contact and engage in conversation with other User.

Former customers complain about a fake chat scam and the automated sent messages by the ice breaker system. The operator of this dating portal is the Cargo Media AG, which is in Zug, in Switzerland. This company got a bad reputation on the internet, and that is for a good reason. It appears that this operator runs a network of dating portals and all of them are a rip-off with a subscription trap.

In the terms and conditions, it is written that a subscription for a paid premium-membership will extend automatically. As we see it, the rip-off works in the following steps. Tricked by the misleading information on the landing page, a visitor will register on this website. After that, a new member will receive many messages. Those messages come from the ice-breaker system and maybe fake profiles. If a user wants to answer, a paid membership is needed, but the subscription is a trap as it will extend automatically.

The conclusion from our Swing.net review

Swing.net offers a lot of good things, but it turns out that the details on the landing page are misleading. After the registration, a user will receive messages that come from the ice breaker system. By the way, this website got the reputation of a fake chat on the internet. If a user wants to answer, a paid membership is needed. But the subscription is a scam as it will renew automatically.
