Report for SpiceDates.com review
SpiceDates.com advertises with a solid offer. Here you can find a high number of active members, plus the registration is free for all. Well, that sounds great, of course. But the number of active users is senseless because the profiles are computer-generated. That means that the chat system is moderated, and the chance to find a match is zero.
Usually, we would call this portal a scam with a fake chat. But the moderation and fictional profiles are noted on the landing page. So, we just cannot call it that. Even though we found some reviews from former customers about the same thing. The operator of the website is Ancient District LTD, which is based in Braintree, United Kingdom.

Details on the SpiceDates.com review
The online dating portal SpiceDates.com looks great at first sight. On the landing page, we see a selection of profile pictures. In general, the members of the platform seem to be young and open-minded. The homepage also offers some general information about the service of the site. There is one very, extremely important note mentioned. The operator of the website is Ancient District LTD, which is based in Braintree, United Kingdom.
This portal uses fictional profiles which are computer-generated and also managed by bots. That means, this portal does not offer a real chance to find a match. But, it is good that this note is shown on the landing page. If you want online entertainment but no real dates, you can register here.
This site is for entertainment only
SpiceDates.com advertises with a solid offer. The free registration is just one thing that this site offers. Also, we read about a high number of members and interesting chats. Well, that might be, but all profiles on this portal are, in fact, a fake. The online dating portal is a fake chat. Usually, we would claim that it is a rip-off. But the operator of the website shows the note about moderation on the landing page already.
There we read about computer-generated virtual profiles. Those profiles show fictional people with whom a date in real-life is impossible. Of course, that is something the note does not explain. So, actually, the user does not know that all profiles are fictitious and that there is no chance to find a real date. The user finds this note before registration. That makes the dating portal rather poor, but it is not a cheeky scam with a fake chat. Of course, some people complain about moderation in their reviews.
Excerpt from the Terms & Conditions (as of 03/09/2023)
I also agree to receive email newsletters, account updates, special offers and communications from computer generated virtual profiles, targeted to my interests, sent by SpiceDates.com or SZcupid.com, and agree to allow my personal data to be shared with third parties.
Have a chat with a computer bot
After the registration is done, two things will happen. First, costs will occur for a paid membership. In the terms and conditions, we did not find further information about the rates of the site. We only read about purchases that the user can make or not. However, if you do not make any purchase here, you cannot have a conversation. The second thing that will happen is that you will receive many messages from other profiles. Those profiles are fake and managed by computer bots. Those automatically sent messages do not contain the information that the profile is fake or computer-controlled.
Messages stimulate new users into a chat which is connected to costs. We did some research on the internet and read some reviews. Some people felt scammed by the site and had a bad experience. If you miss reading the note on the landing page, you will not get any chance to spot the rip-off by yourself. So, people claim that the automatically sent messages from the computer-generated virtual profiles, persuade users to pay for the site. In the end, the payment is not worth it as there is no chance of finding a real person.
