The design is very common and not appealing to us. Still, the functionality is fair, and everybody should be able to sign up quickly. It seems to be a fast-growing community because we see a lot of new members joining frequently.

We already know that the company behind the website SexEncounters.com is well-known for its moderated chats, but we are looking for evidence. On the landing page, we discover the first hint that the site is a scam. Right below the registration where the visitor needs to agree to the terms and conditions, the fine print says.

It is crystal clear that the portal is operating a moderated chat with faked profiles to entertain and animate the visitors. But not to hook them up. All the company wants is to make a lot of profit by luring people into subscription traps.

Fantasy profiles managed by animators

The trick is simple and brilliant at the same time. Shortly after the usual registration process, the newbie will be transported to the primary members’ area full of hot member profiles. What the new member does not know, is that they are all faked: fantasy profiles managed by animators to entice the people to buy a premium membership.

The fresh member will receive many messages, emails, and texts in no time, either by computer-generated virtual profiles, or fantasy profiles operated by paid employees. To read and reply to these useless messages, the member needs to upgrade his account by purchasing an expensive premium membership. Once the newbie agrees, he gets caught in a subscription trap because the membership is monthly recurring and hard to terminate.

The reputation of the operator, Extra Dimensions LTD from Nicosia in Cyprus, is terrible. After some study, we found plenty of reports by ex-members fretting about this fraudulent website. Mostly reports about misleading information, computer-generated messages, false profiles, and the pricey subscription trap.
