The site PlusSizedDating.com.au is a platform where you can create connections by freely expressing yourself by sharing your passions and interests with “bigger” singles around you. With hundreds of users signing up every day, it’s easy for us to start messaging people we like and get to know each other. So far it seems like the right place to start a new adventure. For our review, we created a test profile to check if it’s possible to fall for a scam on this site.

On the page where users can register for free, a disclaimer appears, which alarmed us. It brought up the possibility of having to pay for a subscription if a user wants to access more features in addition to those guaranteed to a free member. We began to understand how things really work here. We then had a suspicion about a rip-off, so we entered the Terms & Conditions page to deepen our understanding of the subscription. It was here that we found a paragraph that explained the system on which this site is based.

[…] Please note that WE USE AN AUTOMATIC RE-BILL CYCLE ACCORDING TO YOUR SELECTED PAYMENT OPTION. When you purchase a one-month or shorter subscription to the Site, unless you cancel such membership at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to its expiration, your subscription will automatically renew at the then current monthly subscription rate.

You must cancel your subscription at least twenty-four (24) hours before your monthly anniversary date to avoid being charged for another month of subscription fees. Upon our processing of your request to cancel your subscription, you will continue to have access to the non-public areas of the Service to which you subscribed until your then-current subscription commitment term ends.

Joining this free online community is simple, but we soon realized that this was the full extent. If users want to chat with other users, they need to spend some money. However, the worst part most users won’t be ready for is the auto-renewal policy. There are more hidden aspects of the site, but we know how to identify these scams and not fall for them. Users just must be vigilant and know where to look. As written in the T&C, the cancellation of the VIP membership is possible if we respect the time limit set by the site.

We also find another section of the site managed by FBM Online Connections LTD, located in Greater London, UK in which the cancellation process is explained in detail. Through the members’ area, users must contact customer assistance to request a form to be filled out and returned. Waiting for customer support to approve our request is a process that could be long which will waste time and potentially trigger the automatic renewal for the following month. Combined with negative reviews of former users that can be found on the internet, we cannot recommend anyone to subscribe here.
