However, upon closer inspection, the site turned out to be a rip-off with a fake chat scam. The members of this platform are not real. The profiles are created and controlled by professional fake chat operators, who only pretend to be the person in the profile picture. Consequently, it is simply impossible to arrange real-life encounters via NZBackpage.co.nz.
Unfortunately, users are not properly informed about the fake profiles. Instead, they are deliberately lured into long chat conversations, which cost a lot of money. Whilst signing up and creating a personal profile is free, using the chat feature is not. In fact, users must pay for every single message they send in the chat, making the pointless chat experience extremely expensive. NZBackpage.co.nz is operated by Online Media Solutions BV, who are based in BH’s-Hertogenbosch, in the Netherlands. At first sight, NZBackpage.co.nz looks like a great choice for those who are looking for casual encounters and exciting sex dates. The portal advertises with free registration and promotes itself as the leading adult site in New Zealand. For this review, we decided to sign up and take a close look at the site’s features, its members, and the legal information. Reading the terms and conditions, we quickly found out that NZBackpage.co.nz is just a rip-off.
Extremely expensive and absolutely pointless
NZBackpage.co.nz is not free, only the registration is. To communicate with other members, users must first purchase so-called “credits”, which can then be used to pay for sending messages in the chat. Depending on which of the offered “credit”-bundles users decide to purchase, sending a chat message will cost between NZ$1.12 and NZ$1.97. As every single message must be paid for separately, having a proper conversation inevitably leads to tremendous costs.
Unfortunately, the pricey chat experience is nothing but a waste of time. The site is only filled with fake profiles created and managed by professional fake chat operators. In other words, this means that all “members” are fictional, and meeting them for an actual sex date is therefore simply impossible.

Users are cheekily tricked into long and extremely expensive conversations that can never result in a real-life date. We cannot recommend anyone to sign up on this website.
