Although LoveBiteDates.com might seem like a reliable dating website to most people, our review found that this is not the case. In our experience, while researching the site, we discovered that it is a fake chat scam with a subscription rip-off. The operator employs the use of fake chat operators and computerised chatbots, to lure users in the subscription trap.

A free basic membership on this site has very little value. If users want to send messages, or reply to the enticing invitations from fictitious profiles, they must purchase a costly premium subscription. Past customers of the website have accused the operator of refusing to cancel their subscriptions, resulting in recurring payments. This operator is Maunaloa LTD, based in Nicosia, in Cyprus.

Automated profiles

As mentioned, LoveBiteDates.com admits to using false profiles in their Terms and Conditions. They state that these ‘automated online profiles’ may be run by a real staff member, or a programmed chatbot. Therefore, there is no chance of meeting these profiles in real life and dates with them are impossible.

Another issue is that users are not made aware about these fictitious profiles. The terms of the site state that fictitious profiles are marked with a special name tag. In this case, it is ‘Online Hookup.’ However, in our experience, while testing out the site, we saw that this marker is barely visible. Since most people would not even know to look for it, this is a scam.
