The site KoreanSingles.com.au shows a happy Korean couple on the landing page and looks promising for finding a single Korean person in Australia. The operator FBM Online Connections LTD from Greater London, in the UK, tries to make it convenient for a possible new member. They say that all the singles are based in Australia. There will not be any contact from someone who is living on the other side of the planet. So far, so good.

As always, we did our research and looked for other reviews about this site. Unfortunately, there is no review, or experience, to find out about KoreanSingles.com.au. However, we still started with the registration process. During registration, we saw some apparently real profiles and according to the Terms and Conditions, the company does not use fake profiles.

Subscription and auto-renewal

One fact that is very suspicious is that, during the last step of the registration process, they almost force you to choose a membership subscription. You can choose between three memberships. The only free one is the 5-Day trial option. This will be automatically renewed if you do not cancel it, at least 24 hours before its expiration. It is the same cancellation period for the 1-month or 3-month subscription. At this point, it was clear how the subscription rip-off was working.

Theoretically, you can still cancel your subscription during your trial membership, which is not always the case, as we know from other providers. But it will still turn into a bad experience. In the Terms and Conditions, we read that we must request the cancellation of the automatic renewal with customer support, through our profile settings. This is a devious way to rip us off, as we are dependent on their actions to cancel the membership. So, in the end, 24 hours might not work out for us to cancel our trial membership.

Please note that WE USE AN AUTOMATIC RE-BILL CYCLE ACCORDING TO YOUR SELECTED PAYMENT OPTION. When you purchase a one-month or shorter subscription to the Site, unless you cancel such membership at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to its expiration, your subscription will automatically renew at the then current monthly subscription rate. If you purchase a three month or longer subscription to the Site, unless you cancel such membership at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to its expiration, your subscription will automatically renew.

Using your profile on other sites

Another point that you can find in the Terms and Conditions is that any image or video that you upload becomes the property of the company. It can be used as marketing material and for other associated websites which feature other members. So, we clearly realized that many profiles might be unreal. Therefore, this site is clearly a scam.
