    Report for GaysGoDating.com review

GaysGoDating.com is an online dating site which is supposed to cater for people within the gay community. However, logging into the site triggered a “Web Of Trust” warning about a possible phishing attempt. Therefore, this site is blacklisted by Internet security services, and this is reason enough to be wary. The site may be under attack, but from experience, we know that the scam is more likely to come from the site itself.

Our review only confirms that GaysGoDating.com is indeed a scam. It conceals a subscription rip-off. The sole purpose is to lure users into a trap. We have found clear evidence of the use of fake profiles in the Terms of Service. These profiles are said to be controlled by chatbots, which our experience confirms. The site is operated by Marbore Web Solutions Ltd, who are a company based in Sofia, in Bulgaria. Other sites that we tested in the past, from the same operator, were all the same ilk.

    Details on the GaysGoDating.com review

The landing page of GaysGoDating.com advertises with free registration. However, once we signed up, we soon find out that we need a premium membership to communicate with other members. This is not mentioned on the landing page. These dubious practices are usually a good indication of a scam. Especially, since we could not do anything on the platform without being immediately redirected to the payment page.

The one-month subscription does not come cheap. Therefore, chances are high that most new users will choose the attractive $0.99 per day trial offer, or the cheap one-week offer. Both are “limited” offers. But rest assured, they are permanently available. And this is precisely where the trap lies.

    Subscription rip-off

The reason why the trial subscription is such a bargain is that it will automatically turn into a one-month subscription, at a much higher price, once the trial expires. This information is not easy to find. But above all, it is clear from reading the site's terms of use, that it is impossible to cancel the subscription in time. Any subscription must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, to avoid renewal.

As the operator is notorious for this type of scam, we would strongly advise you not to fall for it. This is clearly a subscription rip-off. Many users complain that they have been charged long after their cancellation requests have gone unanswered.

The following note is from the terms and conditions

All paid subscriptions are automatically renewed for the period and price you have subscribed to. You can cancel the auto-renewal feature to avoid recurring charges, but you must do so at least 1 day (i.e. 24 hours) before the renewal date. If you cancel the auto-renewal feature more than 24 hours before the renewal, your subscription will be extended for the next corresponding period.

    Fake profiles and automatic messages

Marbore Web Solutions Ltd, the Bulgarian company who run this site, also make it clear in their Terms of Service, that they send automatic messages to users to “entertain” them. Our experience confirms that. Once in the members' area, we immediately received many teasing messages, even though our profile did not include a photo. In fact, all profiles are fake, and there may not even be any physical operator behind this patent rip-off.

The conclusion from our GaysGoDating.com review

As our review shows, GaysGoDating.com is a sneaky subscription scam, run by Marbore Web Solutions Ltd, from Bulgaria. This site uses only fake profiles. They persuade users to sign up for a renewable subscription, which they cannot cancel in time. So, it turns into a more expensive monthly plan. As there is absolutely no date to be arranged on this site, but only money to lose, we strongly recommend that you do not sign up for this site.
