Report for FWB.dating review

The online dating portal FWB.dating, advertises with a free registration. More details are not provided, so we did a some of research. We found out that the site is a cheeky scam with a subscription trap.

A new member will need a paid subscription for a premium-membership that will extend automatically. That does not have to be something bad, but in this case, it is used to trap a customer. This site seems to be filled with fake profiles. The operator of the platform is the company Date4Friend AG, which has got a terrible reputation on the internet.

Details on the FWB.dating review

The online dating website FWB.dating looks good on the first view. However, we found out that this platform is nothing but a huge rip-off. It is part of a big network run by Date4Friend AG. The operator of the network is based in Zug, Switzerland. They are well-known on the internet for their unrefutable collection of dating portals.

We did some research on the internet and found out how the cheeky scam works. It all starts with misleading information on the landing page. There we read about a free registration and that all of the profiles on this site are checked by the operator. That could be a great thing, but in this case, the operator itself is not trustworthy at all. Right after the registration, a new member will receive a free basic-membership, which is useless.

It is a cheeky trap at FWB.dating

With a basic-membership it is not possible to read or to send messages. At the start, a new member will receive a lot of messages from other profiles. Those profiles seem to be a fake and managed by fake operators who entice the user to get a paid subscription. A fake chat is not mentioned in the terms and conditions. Fake chat is mentioned in many reviews which come from former customers. In the end, we assume that this site uses fake profiles, but evidence for that in the terms and conditions is missing.

In any case, the many messages received will entice the user to pay for a subscription, which is quite expensive. The operator will offer a cheap trial membership, which turns out to be the actual trap. A termination in time is not possible. The subscription will extend automatically to a monthly paid membership with high costs. That is the typical rip-off for which the operator is known.

The conclusion from our FWB.dating review

The online dating website FWB.dating is a scam with a subscription trap. According to the information we found on the internet, the members’ pool is filled with fake profiles. These are managed by fake operators. Those fake operators will entice the user to get a paid subscription. This will extend automatically if it is not terminated by the given deadline. However, the trial membership cannot be cancelled in time.

Hi, I registered in FWB, dating. Then they offered me VIP member ship, but before paying I changed my mind and I didn’t pay for VIP membership. Now they are sending me email and I am threatened by them. This is text of the email: unfortunately you still haven’t paid the outstanding balance to the amount of £39.96 for for your VIP membership.

If we do not receive your payment promptly, we will have to instruct our debt collection agency to chase the claim, something that will cause further, unnecessary costs for you.
Can you advise me, if I have to pay?
    Thank you
    Martina
