The landing page of FreeHookupDates.com is already highly suspicious. People are invited to sign up, without knowing anything about the service that they will receive, or the relevant costs. Also, the customer target group is not described. According to the domain’s name, this is a place to hook up for free. However, we will prove with our review, that the reality is different.

Bots and moderators

First, your chances of meeting someone in real life, are close to zero. As clearly stated in the Terms and Conditions, FreeHookupDates.com contains fake profiles. These do not correspond to any genuine member. These accounts are controlled either by employees of the company, who impersonate a fantasy character, or by chatbots. Bots are computer programs designed to simulate a human conversation.

It does not matter that FreeHookupDates.com admits to using fictitious profiles. This is still a fake chat scam because these accounts are not identified separately in the system. Therefore, you can never be sure whether you are talking to a genuine member or not. There is a strong chance that every message you receive might be fake. Age verification is a trap

To reply to incoming messages and unlock the chat features, users are required to verify their age, by providing valid credit card details. FreeHookupDates.com promises that no charge will ever be made, but this is a lie. With the age verification process, subscribers will be granted a free trial membership. But after two days, this will become a paid subscription.

This subscription is subject to automatic renewal. If not cancelled by you, it will keep extending indefinitely. Web Consultancy, which is the site’s operator from Mahé, in the Seychelles, is notorious for rejecting any termination request, without even providing a valid reason. Asking for your credit card details, to verify your age, is just a dirty trick to lure you into an expensive subscription rip-off.
