The website is dominated by younger to middle-aged gay men. The website offers a mobile version with similar features, but a mobile application is not yet available. To register, you need to fill out a personality test, but the registration is still comfortable and fast. You need to provide your necessary details, and after that, there will be an email verification process. After about 5-10 minutes, you will receive your 4-digit activation code.

You are then redirected to the main members’ page. The site has a clean interface and is really very user-friendly. All members, regardless of their age, should be able to use the site. It is comfortable that there are not too many functions, which makes navigation smoother. There is a chat function, a search function and games are available.

What about all the terrible testimonies and reports?

We do some research on the internet and see a lot of bad reports and testimonies about BuddyGays.com and the operator Timespace Services LTD, headquartered in Valetta, Malta. The former members mainly complain about the subscription trap and the difficulty in terminating them. Some others also accuse the portal of having a faked members’ pool and moderated chats.

The fact is that the website advertises a free registration, but does not mention that there will additional costs, which appear if the user wants to communicate with other members. To animate the naïve newbie, the portal offers a 3-day trial membership for just a few dollars. This sounds like a great deal but ends up in a trap. The member will not be able to terminate this trial membership on time because the cancellation period is only 72 hours. After that, the membership will change to a monthly paid subscription.

This is not a scam, mainly because the operator has mentioned the automatic renewal policy in their terms and conditions, but for sure, there is something fishy. Sure enough because later, the website BuddyGays.com denies your termination and continuous charging your credit card. Many former users hired an attorney to help to get rid of this subscription trap.
