At first glance, AussieFlings.com looks like a good place to find a casual date quickly. The site advertises with free registration, thousands of profiles and strong prospects of arranging real-life meetings. To find out whether the platform really is as great as it claims, we created an account, explored the members’ area and read carefully through the terms and conditions. We then searched the internet for user experiences and reviews. Unfortunately, AussieFlings.com turns out to be an overpriced fake chat scam.

High costs for pointless chats

While signing up and creating a personalised profile are free, using the chat feature most definitely is not. To send messages to other members, users must first purchase “credits”, a virtual currency. These can then be exchanged for sending messages to others. “Credits” are offered in different packages. The bigger the package, the lower the price per “credit” and message. But even the least expensive option is still insanely pricey. As every single sent message must be paid for separately, users can quickly end up spending huge amounts of money here. But is it worth the investment?

No! In the terms and conditions, we read that the site’s members’ area contains fictitious profiles, which are created by site employees and controlled by professional fake chat operators and bots. Users can thus only interact with these fake members, who cannot be met in real life. Consequently, the entire chat experience is nothing but a waste of money and time.

In our opinion, users are not properly informed that most, if not all, site member profiles are fake. On the contrary: they are promised good prospects of arranging an actual date in no time. In our experience, professional fake chat operators will try to lure unsuspecting users into long conversations to extract as many messages and as much money out of them as possible.
