Several stock photos on the landing page show that this is a dating site for users with a preference for both sexes. We are also given the impression that BiMeets.com is a discreet and safe place to experiment. We want to find out what other people have to say about this site but fail to find any user reviews on the internet. This makes us think that BiMeets.com is not a well-known dating site. The problem of this site is not inactivity however, it is the use of fictitious profiles to gain a financial benefit.
Are the profiles fake?
While browsing the site, we cannot help but wonder if the other member profiles are real. We have created a very boring profile without a proper photo, but still receive several likes and messages from attractive users. If you do not live in an English-speaking country, all the other members in your area still seem to only know English. We want to chat with other members as well but cannot read or write messages.
All of this makes us question the legitimacy of the operator and the profiles in the members’ area of this site. While some of the members appear to be real, others look rather suspicious. We were able to find a statement in the terms and conditions that makes us believe that some member profiles are fake.
Statement from the terms and conditions
By using this Website you acknowledge that any User profiles, messages and communication may not be genuine.
The VIP membership is also a subscription
The VIP membership necessary to use the chat is also a subscription, meaning that a cancellation is required to stop the membership from renewing. By giving you attention, the fake chat operators behind the fictive profiles try to sell this membership. At least you can cancel the membership at any time prior to the final day, which is why we do not consider this site to be a subscription rip-off.
The operator behind all of this is Desdemona Ltd from Dublin, the capital city of Ireland. Although this is our first experience with this company, we noticed something interesting while using the site. BiMeets.com looks and works exactly like the scam dating sites run by Cintilet Ltd, a company which also happens to be based in Dublin. We do not know for sure how both companies are related to each other, but we do understand that this site is a rip-off.
