Report for Banana.me review
The dating portal Banana.me presents itself with an unusual but modern and clean design and makes a fresh, funny impression.
After the first short research, we find out that the company managing this website is the Cellar Door Limited and is headquartered in Gibraltar. We have heard of this operator before and know that he has several other dating portals all known for their subscription trap. We read a lot of bad testimonies and several reviews on the internet about the online dating website Banana.me all complaining about the subscription scam and the use of computer-generated messages. The angry former customers are reporting about automatically renewals and that it is difficult to end the subscriptions. Several of the ex-members are looking for legal help. In the terms and conditions, the operator confesses the subscription service that automatic renewals.

Details on the Banana.me review
Without the slogan “The newest and fresh dating app” we would not even know that we are landed on a dating website. This makes curious but as well suspicious because there isn't any more information on the starting page.
The only information the visitor gets when he arrives at the starting page is that the registration is free. We sign up, and after the fast and easy enrollment, we land at the main page of Banana.me. The website interface is unusual and reminds us of the famous mobile dating app Tinder.
In the middle of the screen is a slide show with members. The new user has now the possibility to swipe left (interested) or to swipe right (not interested) and to tag them with a "heart" or "flame" button. We only see one preview picture and scroll down. Big disappointment! If the new member would like to see all images and more details, he needs to buy a premium membership.
The registration is the only feature what is free of costs here. If you want to participate in chats and see details of other members you have to upgrade your account. The features to boost or like members are not for free. The information on the page is clearly misleading.
Terms and conditions
We have a look at the extensive terms and conditions of the website Banana.me and see that already the first paragraph mentions the costs for using the dating portal.
“Important payment information”
“THIS IS A SUBSCRIPTION SERVICE THAT AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS. Please read these terms and conditions of use carefully (in particular, section 3 membership, subscriptions; pricing") before completing a purchase for an auto-renewing subscription service.”
Another clear sign that the website is not legit is the tons of messages the new members receive in no time. The portal is sending automated messages “ice breakers” to animate the user to chats and go premium.
The subscription leads the members into a trap because all premium memberships have will automatically renew. Especially the one-day subscription offer is a big scam because this membership will also receive renewal automatically for one month.
“WE ALSO MAY PROVIDE A PROMOTIONAL PRICE, WHICH IS A SPECIAL OFFER, AFTER WHICH THE RENEWAL IS ACTIVATED FOR THE PERIOD SPECIFIED IN THE TERMS OF THE PROMOTION AT THE RELEVANT PRICE. FOR ILLUSTRATIVE PURPOSES, WE MAY OFFER A SUBSCRIPTION FOR 1-DAY FOR USD1 WITH AUTOMATIC EXTENSION TO 1 MONTH RECURRING SUBSCRIPTION FOR USD29.99. IN SUCH CASE IF YOU DO NOT CANCEL AUTORENEWAL BEFORE THE NEXT DAY FOLLOWING THE ACTIVATION OF 1-DAY SUBSCRIPTION, YOU WILL BE CHARGED WITH USD29.99 EACH MONTH UNTIL YOU CANCEL.”
We dig a bit deeper and find plenty of bad reviews about the fraudulent website Banana.me and the operator Cellar Door Limited based in Gibraltar. The people complain especially about the subscription scam and many asking for legal advice.

The conclusion from our Banana.me review
A clean, modern designed webpage this is how Banana.me presents itself. Still, in the end, the online dating portal is nothing more than a subscription scam by the operator Cellar Door Limited from Gibraltar. Misleading information and computer-generated messages lure the people into expensive account upgrades. Not new, but still very effective.
